45mm Genuine NZ Greenstone Māori Hook Koru Necklace
This 45mm Genuine NZ Greenstone Māori Hook Koru Necklace is a larger version of a pendant in the same design (Find it here). We were asked for a larger piece, so of course we found it for you (that's what we love to do).
The pounamu necklace:
- hangs from a strong plaited cord with adjustable knots
- measures approximately 45mm (1 3/4" long)
- is carved in a hei matau (hook) design with a Māori Koru as well
- is carved from pounamu (greenstone) from the Hokitika region (South Island, New Zealand)
Both the Matau and Koru designs carry a spiritual meaning.
The hook design signifies peace, prosperity, good health, and safe travel over water.
The koru design signifies peace, tranquility, new beginnings, and positive change.
